Nichols Hills is one of the most architecturally consistent parts of the metro, and the homes here tend to have finish standards that leave no room for close enough. Original millwork, plaster walls, and custom cabinetry mean a floor or tile installation has to land against surfaces that were themselves built by hand — which requires scribing, careful layout, and patience rather than speed.

Most of our work here involves natural stone, large-format porcelain, and wide-plank hardwood. All three are unforgiving of an uneven substrate, so flattening the subfloor is not an optional line item on these projects — it is the project. We straightedge the field, correct it, and only then start setting material.

We also take site protection seriously in homes like these. Adjacent floors are covered, doorways are sealed against dust, and the work zone is cleaned at the end of every day. The goal is that the only evidence we were in the house is the room we finished.
